Questions
Why are run times in UTC by default?
Cron has no time zone of its own, and many schedulers, such as GitHub Actions, run in UTC. If yours doesn't, pick its zone in the Time zone menu.
Does it support seconds, or shortcuts like @daily?
Yes. With 6 fields, the first is seconds. @yearly, @monthly, @weekly, @daily, @hourly and @reboot are all understood.
Can I build an expression without writing it?
Yes. Open "Build one" under the tool and pick the minute, hour, day, month and weekday. The expression and the choices stay in sync.
What happens with an invalid expression?
You get an error that names the problem: too few fields, a value out of range, or an unknown shortcut.
