What's the difference between line diff and word diff?

Line diff marks a whole line as changed, which suits code. Word diff highlights only the changed words, which suits prose.

What does Copy copy?

A plain-text diff you can paste into a ticket or chat. Line diff marks lines with + and - at the start, like git diff. Word diff marks changes inline: {+added+} and [-removed-].

Can it ignore whitespace, case or JSON key order?

Yes. Ignore whitespace and Ignore case treat those differences as equal. When both sides are JSON, "JSON by content" (on by default) formats both and sorts their keys first, so only real changes show.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. Both texts are compared in your browser. There's no Share button, because a link can only hold one of the two texts.
