Questions
Can I download the sound?
Yes. Save WAV gives the same tone and speed as Play (600 Hz, 20 words per minute) as a WAV file.
How are letters and words separated?
A space goes between letters and " / " between words. When decoding, three or more spaces or a new line also mark a new word.
Can I paste dots and dashes from other sites?
Yes. Decoding also reads •, ·, −, –, — and _ as dots and dashes, which other translators and fonts often use.
Why is lowercase text decoded as capitals?
Morse code has no case, so every letter comes back as a capital.
What about accented letters?
They are sent without the accent, so é becomes E. Characters with no Morse code, like emoji, are skipped and listed under the output.
How fast does Play go?
About 20 words per minute: a dot is 60 ms, a dash three dots, with standard gaps between letters and words. Click again to stop.
